The Bronx Wash murals started to brighten up our neighborhood a few years ago and became the perfect site for ongoing collaborations with the Tucson Arts Brigade. Volunteers design the murals, prepare the rough surfaces, fund raise and finally transfer their designs. Recent artists include:
- Emma Bayne, UA Student, Rebirth 2017: “I love being able to give something back to the community which raised me.”
- Teresa Altamirano, Artist and Mom (her first mural, in progress)
- Sneha Srinivasan, UA Student: “I wanted to see how art could spread a message of kindness and hope.”
- Nikki Ortiz, Illustrator, Muralist, La Paz
- Ms Hazzard, Barcelona based artist: This mural has been seen around the world online, making the Bronx Wash Murals an international, street arts destination.
