Sugar Hill Family Reunion’s annual after Thanksgiving party

Good Morning Neighbors!

I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving with your friends and family! You can keep that feeling going today with the Sugar Hill Family Reunion’s annual after Thanksgiving party at the Donna R Liggins Center from 11-5. This annual event brings together neighborhood residents from the past and present to celebrate the strong community, culture, and connections rooted in the area. There will also be free food, entertainment, and fun happening all day so stop by and say hello!

Next week, on Wednesday the 28th from 5:30 - 7:30 representatives form the city of Tucson’s Brush & Bulky program will be giving out information to Ward 3 and 6 residents at the Donna R. Liggins Center. Next year, the city will no longer be sending out mailers notifying residents of brush and bulky collection dates in the neighborhood. Come to the meeting to find out when next years dates will be and to learn about other changes and improvements to the program that will be underway.

Last, our next neighborhood meeting is Wednesday Dec. 5th, 6 pm at the Donna R Liggins Center. We will be discussing regular neighborhood business as well as possible locations for Sugar Hill neighborhood signs! Make sure to save the date so we can hear your opinion, or, email me if you can’t make it and I’ll relay your words to the group.

That’s all for now, neighbors. I’ll see you at the reunion or around the block!

Until Then,

Sadie Shaw
SHNA President
