Neighbors in El Cortez Heights and Northwest Neighborhood have teamed up to start a greening project along 1st Ave. Neighbors applied for and received a grant from the Conserve 2 Enhance program, which is part of Tucson Water's conservation program.
Coming in the fall, after the summer heat has calmed down a bit, we will be preparing to dig basins, cut curbs for stormwater, and plant trees along a barren stretch of 1st Ave near Seneca. More to come on this exciting opportunity!
