Bronx Wash Mural Project

In the summer of 2009 Northwest Neighborhood Association painted a mural in the concrete Bronx Wash at 4th Avenue and Linden Street through a grant from PRO Neighborhoods. Working with artist Michael Schwartz, a mural was designed to represent the history of the neighborhood and the region. We held several community painting days and Michael Schwartz completed the final touches on the mural by the end of the summer. In 2018, Tucson Arts Brigade gathered several nearby neighborhoods together to continue murals on private walls in a Sugar Hill Mural Fest with designs based on collective knowledge of our history:
